ABOUT ME
I qualified as a Humanistic Counsellor at The University of Chichester in 2020 and soon after set up Elephas Counselling. I volunteered as a counsellor at The Bereavement Counselling Charity, Hampshire for 18 months and at the University of Portsmouth Student Wellbeing Service as a counsellor for 2 years. Consequently, I have gained experience working with young adults presenting with a range of issues and with bereaved adults at any age.
Through personal experience and working with clients, I have a good understanding of the issues faced by those on the Autistic Spectrum.
My professional background is in customer service, sales, account management, human resources and marketing. I have had a lifelong interest in counselling and am also in the process of completing a degree in psychology.
I am a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy) and abide by their Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions. I have counsellor insurance with Holistic Insurance. Through my work with the University of Portsmouth I hold an Enhanced DBS certificate.
